Regularly helping people choose an adult bike, whilst reminiscing about helping them find their very first one; for anyone that knows Owen Pattinson, or is a customer of Owen’s Cycles, they’ll know that his passion for bikes has spanned pretty much his entire lifetime!
Officially incorporated as Owens Cycles in May 2012, and opening the Rightbike eBike arm of the business in 2018, Owen has in fact been operating as a sole trader since the swinging Summer of the 80’s. Marking an incredible 44 years of service in the cycle trade, we’re celebrating this milestone by giving away a bike or store voucher to the value of £500 to one lucky local.

- Who can enter the prize giveaway?
Our competition is open to anyone or everyone who really deserves a new bike! If you are nominating a little person under 18 years of age, please ensure you name them in your comment, and tag their responsible person. - How long is the prize giveaway open for?
The ‘44 years in business – Bike giveaway’ runs from Monday 22nd July 2024 and ends on Wednesday 31st July 2024 at midnight. - How is the winner decided?
Entry’s will be validated, and selected with a random generator. The winner will be announced on Thursday 1st August 2024. - How will I know if I’ve won?
A winner’s post will be published on Thursday 1st August, and a personal message sent. The winner can then contact the store on 01730 260446 to arrange a fitting / collection date convenient to you. (We are open Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00am to 5:30pm). - How will I get the bike?
You will have to come to the store to collect. If we have the right bike in store, you can take it away that day. However, if you’d like a different frame size we can order in, for final fitting in-store. Or home delivery, subject to a 10 mile radius of the store. - How will the bike be delivered?
You will have to come for a fitting and to select the bike in store. - How many times can I enter the prize giveaway?
One entry per person and a valid Facebook account. Multiple entries will be disqualified. - What if I already have a bike I’m happy with?
You will be nominating a person who really needs a bike. Think through everyone you know, their little ones who love biking, who may need a new bike. Nominate someone who would really appreciate it, and get the most use out of a new bike. Tag them, or their responsible person, into your comment on our completion post. - Can I sell the prize if I don’t want it?
